Welcome to SAT Readiness Foundations

15–20 minutes

This course is a guided first step for Caribbean learners who want to understand the Digital SAT and explore their current academic readiness before choosing a preparation pathway.

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

  • Understand how the course works
  • Set a realistic reason for completing it
  • Prepare to record strengths and areas for development

How to complete the course

Work through the six modules in order. Module 2 includes official SAT orientation, while Modules 3–6 send you to selected foundation-level practice on Khan Academy. Open each activity in a new tab, complete it, then return here and tick the completion box.

Your progress and reflections are saved in this browser on this device. A free Khan Academy account is recommended if you want Khan Academy to keep your detailed practice history.

Begin with exploration

The goal is not to prove that you are already ready for every SAT skill. The goal is to notice what feels familiar, what requires review and whether you are willing to practise consistently.

Remember

Key points

  • Complete every module and attempt every linked practice.
  • Record honest reflections; they will make your next-step decision more useful.
  • This introductory course is not a full SAT preparation programme.

Live-online classes were small and the WhatsApp check-ins kept us on track. My homeschooler reached 1220 and feels ready for applications.

My daughter improved about 180 points. WhatsApp check-ins kept her honest; only wish the math labs were 15 mins longer.

ABF gave us a diagnostic on day one and a weekly plan we could actually follow. My daughter moved from 980 to 1230 and finally felt confident with Reading and Writing.

I joined late and did the 8-week sprint. The drills felt exactly like the digital SAT and the math review pushed me from 540→620; total 1050→1270.

The weekend hub was quiet, safe, and structured—huge difference from studying at home. My son went from 900 to 1180 and we always knew what to work on next.

I had 7 weeks. ABF prioritized my weak areas and kept me accountable—roughly a 200-point bump and a realistic list of schools.

Clear weekly targets and helpful recordings when we missed a class. A fifth time slot would make it perfect.

CAPE wasn’t fitting our timeline. ABF showed how the SAT could unlock UK foundation programs—my daughter scored 1200 and we have three shortlists now.

We worried about visas. ABF mapped a path using SAT + accredited online universities first, then transfer later if we choose. My son earned 1190 and an offer from an online US program.

Before ABF I was just taking practice tests. The sentence-editing method and timing drills moved me from 910→1150, and I finally enjoy reading passages.
